About Idlehour
Lifestyle with understated elegance: we believe that comfort can have style, and style can be comfortable.
Born out of a love of fitness, fashion, and all things beautiful, Idlehour opened its doors in 2015 as an off-shoot of Pure Movement Pilates Studio. After an overwhelmingly positive response to an athleisure trunk show (our clients cleared the racks!), we realized that there was a need for a local boutique that carried luxury activewear.
With a founding mission of providing style which can be worn from a workout to the night out without sacrificing fashion or comfort, Idlehour has continued its evolution by adding gifts, accessories, and beauty and wellness products to the mix to form a curated collection we love, gathered from the travels of our everyday lives.
Today, our boutique caters to the everywoman, living a modern, on-the-go lifestyle. We pride ourselves on our fashion forward aesthetic style and effortless chic, embodied by understated comfort with a little bit of boho thrown in. Come visit us in downtown Fort Wayne as we continue to evolve, going beyond activewear to styles for the working woman, the busy mom and the fashion addict in all of us.
About Annie
Annie started doing Pilates after her second child was born (oh how she wishes she had discovered it sooner!) & it remains one of her absolute favorite ways to spend an idle hour, along with shopping, drinking tequila, & traveling. She's always had an eye for design and ignored everyone that told her that installing giant feather lights in her shop was a bad idea. Annie lives in the '07 neighborhood of Fort Wayne with her dashing hubby, two darling kiddos, a Lab named Jones and a French Bulldog named Bodhi.
About Tresa
Born a lover of movement from the moment she hit the stage in slippers, Tresa began her Pilates journey at age 13 as a means to cross-train and maximize her dance discipline. Always seeking to dress the part of a dancer, her love affair with fashionable activewear stems from her belief that a black leotard, pink tights, and cute ballet flats are all that you need. She believes that being a small business owner is the greatest job in the world, and loves how she gets to decide which 80 hours a week she works. Tresa is forever grateful that she has someone like Annie who listens to her complain about the proper usage of the English language, and that she ignores suggestions like not installing giant feather lights. Tresa is passionate about downtown Fort Wayne, the arts, and discovering the world with her two kids, two Cairns, and loving (also grammar-fearing) husband.
